About the 2015 NIRSA Honor Award recipient
Moe McGonagle, CRSS, is the Director of Campus Recreation at DePaul University. She has been a NIRSA member for almost thirty years, was NIRSA President from 2006–2007, and has served on countless committees, commissions, and work teams—including, but not limited to, the Nominations and Appointments Committee, the Career Opportunities Committee, the Region III Award of Merit Selection Committee, and the Annual Conference Program Committee.
As an undergraduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Moe came up with the idea for the very first NIRSA Region III Lead On. There are now student Lead Ons in every NIRSA region, and they are a staple professional development opportunity for those aspiring to a career in collegiate recreation. From early in her campus rec career, Moe has continuously demonstrated a strong commitment to the profession and the Association.
You can read more about Moe McGonagle and her many contributions to the collegiate recreation profession on the NIRSA website.
