Membership dues update: NIRSA continuing to invest in members

Consistent with NIRSA Bylaws, NIRSA Institutional and individual membership dues will increase by 3% on July 1, 2026.

The modest increases reflect rising costs facing nearly every sector of the economy, including higher education and not-for-profit organizations. The increase helps ensure the Association can continue delivering high-quality programs, resources, and services while advancing the 2024–2027 Strategic Framework.

What to expect

  • Students will pay $2 more annually
  • Professional rates will increase by $5–$6 annually
  • Institutional memberships will cost between $17–$63 more, depending on enrollment size

Stretch your professional development dollars!

Institutional membership continues to expand complimentary access to NIRSA Learning webinars for all staff members from member schools regardless of individual membership status. Individuals from NIRSA member schools are also invited to join NIRSA’s Cohort Collective at no additional cost.

More than 20 Ideas in Motion virtual roundtables are scheduled between now and the end of the year, and these too are free for all individuals at NIRSA member institutions, with complimentary access also extended to individual members at nonmember schools.  And the Association continues to expand its lineup of flexible, on-demand learning opportunities. Also included as an institutional membership benefit is the new NIRSA Cohort Collective.

Institutions trying to maximize unspent funds before the end-of-fiscal-year accounting windows close can also save 5%–10% on institutional, professional, and student membership dues by leveraging multi-year renewal discounts. Renewing for more than one year will help you stretch your team’s professional development dollars and ensure uninterrupted access to valuable resources and networks.

When you renew your membership by Tuesday, June 30, a year of membership will be tacked on to your existing expiration date at the current rates.

You can renew online or print a renewal form for your individual or institutional membership and mail it in with your preferred form of payment. You can also pay with a credit card over the phone at (541) 766-8211. Leave us a message or send us an email and we will connect with you to find the fastest and easiest way to keep you inside the NIRSA network.
