Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the NIRSA National Soccer Championships. The tournament will be held at Scheels Overland Park Soccer Complex in Overland Park, KS from April 18 – 21, 2026.
The NIRSA Championship Series National Soccer Media Relations Committee assists in providing premier championship experiences delivered by qualified experts within a safe and inclusive environment.
- Serve as a positive brand ambassador for the NIRSA Championship Series
- Communicate regularly with the NIRSA Championship Series Executive Team and NIRSA Staff
- Attend tournament planning meetings and on-site meetings as required
- Maintain availability during the entirety of the event
- Uphold the principles, purpose, and promise of the NIRSA Championship Series
- Uphold NIRSA’s Code of Ethics
- Assist in production of written, photo, and video content and share via multiple platforms throughout the event
- Assist in maintenance of event social media and website
- Provide equitable media coverage for all divisions
- Adhere to NIRSA Brand Guidelines
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Tournament Operations or Tournament Director
Requirements
Committee Requirements:
- Current NIRSA individual membership for the duration of the position term
Preferred Experiences
- Prior experience as a tournament or committee director at a NIRSA state or regional tournament
- Completed undergraduate degree
Time Commitment
The NIRSA Championship Series National Soccer Championships Competition Committee volunteers are to be available for the duration of the tournament.
Term Length
Media Relations Committee terms for the NIRSA Championship Series National Soccer Championships are one year and run from June 1 through May 31.
