Please join the NIRSA Foundation in celebrating the 2018 scholarship and travel stipend recipients! To help members find and recognize scholarship recipients in their networks, the NIRSA Foundation is excited to announce a new webpage listing past recipients.
The page features easy-to-sort tables that can be organized by recipient name, region, state, institution, and more. The NIRSA Foundation first awarded scholarships in 1994, and the page will inevitably archive all recipients from 1994 to the present. It will also be updated prior to the 2019 NIRSA Annual Conference so members can access the list of recipients for presentation in recognition materials.
Scholarships are made possible by our generous NIRSA family. Thanks to our donors, the NIRSA Foundation was able to award 107 scholarship and stipend opportunities in 2018:
- 62 full-registration scholarships to the NIRSA Annual Conference, NIRSA School of Collegiate Recreation, and NIRSA Recreation Facilities Institute
- Ten professional J. Michael Dunn Preconference Education scholarships to NIRSA 2018 preconference workshops
- 28 student J. Michael Dunn Student Professional Development Workshop scholarships
- Seven Travel Assistance Stipends presented by Core Health & Fitness
Applications for 2019 scholarships and stipends will launch in August 2018. A huge thank you to our donors and corporate partners who make the scholarship program possible and to Core Health & Fitness for providing travel stipends to a professional member from each NIRSA Region.
