Founders People of Color Social
The Founders People of Color Social sponsored by Life Fitness and PLAE will take place Friday March 24 at 6:00pm in Concourse A on Level 2 of the Convention Center. Please join the committee this year in a special tribute to Juliette Moore, the founder of the People of Color Social and namesake of the Distinguished Leadership Award. Juliette’s motto was “Celebrate Life” and we hope you’ll join us as we celebrate her remarkable life.
The Founders People of Color Social is open to everyone. It provides networking and mentoring opportunities, fosters the involvement of people of color in the Association, and encourages active participation in Association leadership roles. Refreshments and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.
All Conference Social
This year’s All Conference Social is going to be one for the memory books! Hosted in the Heinz History Center just blocks from the Convention Center on Friday March 24 at 8:00pm, attendees will have the chance to explore several interactive exhibits. Take your picture with everyone’s favorite neighbor Mister Rogers and see the original TV set from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, which was filmed in Pittsburgh. Relive the iconic moments of Pittsburghers who became champions at the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum—you’re sure to find something to cheer about! Keep an eye out for one-of-a-kind photo opportunities and show off your Tik Tok dance skills! The social will feature a live DJ and dance floor.
The All Conference Social is open to all NIRSA 2023 attendees. Light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Cash bars will be located throughout the venue if you choose to sample a local brew or wine.
LGBTQ & Allies Social
The LGBTQ & Allies Social sponsored by Life Fitness and PLAE is the place to be on Saturday, March 25 at 5:30pm. This event will take place in Concourse A on Level 2 of the Convention Center. An Annual Conference favorite, this social is guaranteed to be a great time! Join your colleagues in celebration of the recipients of the Fredrick R. Braden Scholarships for Social Justice, and enjoy light refreshments as well as a cash bar.
This event is the only place to purchase a highly sought NIRSA Pride T-shirt. Make sure to bring your credit card and help fundraise for the Frederick R. Braden Scholarships by taking home a T-shirt of your very own!
