The NIRSA School of Collegiate Recreation provides attendees with a broad range of materials designed to enhance a recreation professional’s management and problem-solving skills. It has both a Level I and a Level II, and runs on a three-year cycle: Level I is offered two years in a row and then Level II is offered the third year.

NIRSA Headquarters launched the online registration for the 2015 School Level I at 12:00pm on Wednesday, January 14. By 12:36am, all 48 spots had been filled—this is by far the quickest registration has ever filled for a NIRSA educational event.

Attendance at The School is limited to 48 participants as a means of creating a small, close-knit group learning atmosphere. This atmosphere allows participants to be active-learners, engaging their own experiences and questions and individualizing the take-aways to fit their campus programs as well as their own personal and professional development.

A School waitlist of 15 people is currently full. If any of the 48 spots open up, they will be offered to those on the waitlist in order. If you’re interested in attending the NIRSA School of Collegiate Recreation but weren’t able to register in time, send an email to education@nirsa.com and we will add your name to a mailing list and provide you with updates on the 2016 institute—including dates, the location, and when registration will open.
