We’re here to help elevate your game!

Campus recreation employees come to the profession at many different ages and stages—we meet members wherever you’re at on your career journey.

Opportunities, resources, and connections, oh my! Members become supporters. Supporters become volunteers. Volunteers become leaders. Leaders become philanthropists. When you join NIRSA, you gain the key to unlocking countless doors in the campus recreation profession.

Volunteer to grow your career

Volunteering can be the bridge—connecting you to the networks, opportunities, and experiences that shape your professional journey. NIRSA values our volunteers because they make everything we do possible, and because time and again we’ve seen those same individuals grow into confident leaders, expand their professional networks, and become influential voices who help shape the future of collegiate recreation.

Résumé reviews and mock interviews

Career services are a cornerstone of NIRSA learning events: Many in-person learning events—like the NIRSA Conference, regional conferences, and the ERSL Conference—continue to offer career services like mock interviews and résumé reviews.

Find a mentor

Mentors help us push beyond our comfort zone. They can help you gain fresh ideas, hone networking and leadership skills, learn more about the profession and professionalism, and they have even been known to play a part in facilitating career opportunities!
