The NIRSA Championship Series Soccer Work Team supports all aspects of collegiate club soccer including regional and national tournaments by providing a premier championship experience. Their yearly goals and charges enhance soccer for club participants, officials, volunteers, spectators and all others involved. The Soccer Work Team is responsible for providing professional development opportunities for NIRSA members.
Requirements
Current NIRSA professional or student membership is required for the duration of the committee term.
Responsibilities
- Application promotion and recruitment for Regional Host Sites, National Tournament Officials, and
- Volunteers for the Regional and National Tournaments
- Application promotion and recruitment for NIRSA Championship Series Soccer Leadership including
- National Tournament Directors, Regional Coordinators, and Work Team members
- Development of activities to enhance the participant experience for the National Tournament
- Collaboration with the Assessment, Brand Management, Social Justice, Student & Professional Development, and Unified Work Teams
- Development of the Spring Series for Soccer
- Application promotion and recruitment for Student Officials for the Spring Series for Soccer and Host Sites
- Support Regional Coordinators, Tournament Experience and Logistics, Directors of Competition, and Directors of Officials
- Support of Regional and National Tournaments
Time Commitment
The Work Team meets monthly and committee members should expect two to four hours of work monthly fulfilling work team assignments.
Term Length
Committee terms are one year and run from June 1 through May 31.
