The NIRSA Championship Series  is thrilled to announce that Wichita State University and Visit Wichita will host the National Basketball Championships from 2019–2021!

“Wichita State University is excited to host the 2019, 2020, and 2021 NIRSA National Basketball Championships,” says John Lee, Director of Campus Recreation at Wichita State University. “We look forward to welcoming players, programming staff, officials, volunteers, and fans to Wichita, Kansas and giving them a great experience.”

NIRSA is thrilled to be working with Wichita State University as plans for hosting their first championships in 2019 is fast approaching. However, teams will not be playing on the Wichita State campus but rather at Wichita Hoops, an incredible facility built for events like this.

“Wichita is ecstatic to be selected as the host for the NIRSA National Basketball Championships,” says Josh Howell, Sports Sale Manager at Visit Wichita. “We are thrilled to welcome thousands of athletes, coaches, and families to our city and cannot wait to show our visitors why Wichita is a premiere sports destination.”
