The first NIRSA Triventure—a co-location of the Recreation Facilities Institute, Aquatics Institute, and Fitness & Wellness Institute—took place in 2013 and the event was a huge success! More than 230 NIRSA members attended the first NIRSA Triventure in 2013 and the feedback was incredibly encouraging.

Ryan N. McCallum from the Colorado School of Mines said “It was great to have all three institutes in the same location. I was able to learn and experience things that I may not have been able to otherwise.” And Chris Cody from UT Dallas said “Triventure allows you to meet professionals from all fields—not just your own. It’s a professional and fun event to expand your knowledge.”

So NIRSA has decided to bring Triventure back! The Crowne Plaza Indianapolis – Downtown Union Station in Indianapolis, Indiana will host the co-location these three marquee NIRSA Professional Development events from October 14–16.

All professionals working in the fields of aquatics, fitness, wellness, or recreation facilities are encouraged to save the dates! Attendees will be able to attend educational sessions from any track presented, tour state-of-the-art recreation facilities, and network with colleagues from across North America. And all while spending time with colleagues from different departments within or outside of your institution!

A call for presentation proposals for these three NIRSA Institutes will open in Spring 2015, so start thinking about presentation topics today as members’ expertise and commitment to further the profession’s body of knowledge are key components of how we advance the goals of our Association.

Individuals planning to attend can make reservations by calling (317) 631-2221 and requesting the NIRSA rate; the rate for a single/double is $169+tax/night. To receive the discounted group rate, hotel reservations must be made no later than Monday, September 14. Roommate matching will become available closer to the date of the event.

Registration for this exciting event is anticipated to open in May 2015. Keep an eye on the NIRSA News for further details.
