If you’re a professional woman who aspires to a senior leadership position in higher education, you will not want to miss the 2013 Women’s Leadership Institute—a one-of-a-kind opportunity.

Gain insights into the college and university culture and develop a better understanding of the campus as a workplace December 3-6, 2013 at the beautiful Ritz Carleton on Amelia Island, FL.

The event is co-hosted by 19 higher education member associations, with NIRSA members playing significant and notable roles. NIRSA professional member and NIRSA Board of Directors President Designee, Laurie Braden, RCRSP, Louisiana State University, will be an Educator-in-Residence. The Educator-in-Residence program is new to the Women’s Leadership Institute this year, so it’s an honor to have Laurie start it off strong. In this role, she will attend the full institute program and guide discussion groups and round tables. She will also work closely with a group of assigned attendees as a well as working with the participants as a whole.

NIRSA Board of Directors President Designee, Laurie Braden, RCRSP, Louisiana State University, will be an Educator-in-Residence at this year’s WLI.

Additionally, NIRSA Board of Directors Annual Director Jacqueline Hamilton, RCRSP, Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, will be a featured plenary session speaker focusing on Wellness.

The Women’s Leadership Institute is a four-day/three-night program with two primary purposes:

  • To give women in the field of higher education and student affairs information and support toward their pursuit of executive leadership positions on campus, and
  • To increase the knowledge-base of all partner organizations about topics related to being a woman working on college campuses.
