The Honor Award Committee works with NIRSA staff to administer and promote the Honor Award program. Presented each year at the NIRSA Conference, this prestigious award recognizes the exceptional contributions to NIRSA and the field of collegiate recreation through exemplary leadership and dedication. This committee reviews nominations and uses selection criteria to decide on the recipient.
Requirements
Current individual NIRSA membership is required for the duration of the committee appointment.
Time Commitment
One or two meetings each month, with asynchronous work of up to 3-4 hours/month. The majority of the asynchronous work takes place during the nomination review process in November and December.
Term Length
Committee terms run from May 1, 2026 to December 30, 2026.
