Each year, with the help of about 50 volunteers, the NIRSA Conference Program Committee and NIRSA staff review over 100 conference proposal submissions. Every proposal gets reviewed by at least three different people.
The review process is made easy with the use of NIRSA’s proposal management system, where you’ll get access to a proposal reviewer portal and answer a few questions relating to the rubric. NIRSA will assign you to review proposals on topics that are related to your preferences and expertise.
Time Commitment
Volunteers can expect to spend between five and 10 hours reviewing approximately 10 proposals using a rubric provided by NIRSA.
Term Length
Volunteers must complete their reviews during the reviewer window, which will run from September 25 until October 12. Reviews must be completed by October 12.
