2020 NIRSA Recreation Facilities Institute presented by Mondo

In partnership with Athletic Business

November 3-6, 2020 | Baltimore, Maryland

About

The NIRSA Recreation Facilities Institute, presented by Mondo, provides in-depth information on planning, constructing, renovating, and operating recreation sports facilities. Since demand for recreation sports facilities continues to increase, recreation professionals need to stay on the forefront of trends and best practices.

NIRSA Recreation Facilities Institute attendees may choose between educational sessions focused on design/construction or management operations. In addition to the top-notch educational sessions, facility tours are included for some of the area’s top recreational facilities. The on-campus tours are designed to complement the educational sessions and the networking opportunities with recreational sports managers, recreational program directors, and architects from across North America.

In 2020, NIRSA is partnering with Athletic Business to produce the NIRSA Facilities Institute integrated as part of the AB Show. We believe this partnership will increase the quality and quantity of ed session offerings, increase exposure of the NIRSA brand with nonmembers, as well as decrease the scheduling conflicts of exhibitors and sponsors between NIRSA events and the AB show.

What’s happening with the NIRSA Facilities Institute in 2020?2019-09-30T09:16:31-07:00

In 2020 the NIRSA Facilities Institute will be held in Baltimore, MD in partnership with the 2020 Athletic Business Show. As a fully integrated event within the AB Show, the NIRSA Facilities Institute will continue to deliver stellar learning opportunities, fabulous networking, and top-notch tours for attendees. But they’ll now also benefit from an even larger Expo, higher-profile keynote speakers, even more colleagues from across the industry to exchange ideas with, and access to a breadth of educational sessions outside the recreational facilities wheelhouse.

Additionally, attendees and exhibitors will no longer have to choose between two outstanding events that historically have happened in different locations around the same time.

Why is NIRSA partnering with Athletic Business?2019-09-30T09:21:49-07:00

Athletic Business has been associate member of NIRSA since 1997. More than 40,000 subscribers turn to the Athletic Business print publication and tens of thousands more turn to the AB website for award-winning editorial content, as well as to view products and services offered by leading companies. Athletic Business was announced as a Preferred Media Partner of the Association in 2018.

Many NIRSA members—especially those who are in or aspire to leadership positions within campus recreation—are already longtime readers of AB, so we’re excited about how this partnership has brought a trusted resource to all NIRSA members. NIRSA’s continued partnership with AB stands to advance our strategic values and positions the Association well for emerging strategic priorities.

As two long-standing institutions in the athletics, fitness and recreation industries, both of which host leading-edge events, Athletic Business and NIRSA are well positioned to help our members and their readers find success in their future endeavors. This newest evolution in our partnership continues in the same spirit.
