The NIRSA Foundation Leadership Award recognizes an individual or group that has demonstrated exceptional dedication to the NIRSA Foundation and its mission.
This award is selected by the NIRSA Foundation Board of Directors. The nomination period happens in the fall of each year.
Every year, the NIRSA Foundation Board of Directors celebrates an outstanding individual who has significantly impacted the future of our profession. This individual also champions the spirit and excellence that is the NIRSA family by being conferred the NIRSA Foundation Leadership Award.
The inaugural NIRSA Foundation Leadership Award was presented at the 2013 NIRSA Conference to recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions of time, talent, and resources to the NIRSA Foundation and its mission over an extended period. This award honors those who have actively supported the field of campus recreation through their leadership and involvement in NIRSA Foundation programs.
The Foundation Leadership Award recipient will be a current NIRSA member who exemplifies the standards of ethical behavior, consistent with the NIRSA Member Code of Ethics.
