Play, network, and celebrate at the 2022 Campus Rec & Wellness Expo

With more than 100 exhibitors and three years since our last in-person event, the NIRSA Campus Rec & Wellness Expo is a must-attend opportunity to explore cutting-edge products and services, exciting trends, and fresh ideas.

Fun activities, free food at the March 30 Grand Opening

All are welcome to the Grand Opening on March 30 at 3:30pm Pacific in the Oregon Convention Center Expo Halls B and C! Open until 6:30pm, the evening offers appetizers, prizes, a cash bar, and multiple activities to keep you engaged between conversations with exhibitors. This is the place to be to play on the latest equipment and build relationships with exhibitors to leverage an outstanding vendor network.

Attendees will love a new twist on an old favorite: This year’s Hoop Shoot Contest, sponsored by Pop-A-Shot, will be an arcade-style battle to net as many balls as possible. Fast-paced, fun, and just $1 to enter, the contest gets extra competitive with incredible prizes for the top contestants: Cash, a custom-branded Pop-A-Shot Pro Duel Shot Game, and a custom-branded Pop-A-Shot Pro Single Shot game.

While the Hoop Shoot is open all hours of the show in Booth 1235, stop by from 3:45-4:45pm for the Unified Sports Experience Hoop Shoot Contest. For $1, attendees are paired with a Special Olympics athlete and have minute to make as many baskets as possible. Early visitors to the Unified Hoop Shoot get special swag, and the overall winner earns an extra sweet reward benefiting their campus.

Try your hand (and head and feet) at the world’s fastest-growing sport: Teqball! NIRSA’s excited to join with Teqball USA to bring a demo court to the Expo Hall at the start of row 1200. Teqball is a soccer-based sport, and you can play five different sports on this specially curved “Teq table,” so there’s something for everyone. Watch Teqball athletes demo the sport and learn how you could integrate this exciting new sport on your campus.

Two classes in the Fitness Forum, sponsored by Life Fitness, encourage attendees to find balance and core strength. Check out the Fitness Forum schedule for more details. After your workout, cool down by testing equipment with our NIRSA partners and other exhibitors excited to shine a light on the latest and greatest in campus rec and wellbeing.

Win prizes, snag your giveaway in NIRSA Booth 1247

Always a destination, the NIRSA Booth is a must-stop to pick up the NIRSA 2022 giveaway: A stainless steel mug with attached carabineer featuring a festive Bigfoot logo! Attendees should also drop off their raffle ticket at the NIRSA booth for a chance to win prizes from our vendors.

New for Portland, the NIRSA Booth also includes the NIRSA Resources Hub. This is a one-stop-shop to discover your NIRSA member benefits and learn about new publications, virtual learning catalog, and other new resources for the campus rec industry. Come by for special NIRSA swag and additional prizes!

So much to do on Expo Day 2!

Day 2 dawns early on the Campus Rec & Wellness Expo with an opportunity to get up and get moving! The Early Morning Workout runs from 6:30-7:30am. Follow a self-guided workout using equipment offered by our exhibitors or start your day at one of two Fitness Forum classes at 6:45am. Be sure to check the schedule, as classes are both in the Fitness Forum area and Life Fitness Booth 735.

Connect again with exhibitors when the Expo reopens at 9:00am. Tummy rumbling after Thursday’s Mainstage Session? Breakfast is served at 9:30am! Open to all, with the Breakfast & Connections social occurring simultaneously, enjoy breakfast fare along with coffee and tea stations around the expo. (Networking serving suggestion: How many exhibitors can you find who take their java the same way as you?)

Feeling caffeinated? Funnel your energy into trying to up the previous day’s records in the Hoop Shoot Contest, open all hours, and Unified Sports Experience Hoop Shoot from 11am-12:340pm. Fitness Forum classes take place throughout the day, with opportunities for mobility training, HIIT circuits, and more!

Join the frenzy of the beloved, annual T-Shirt Exchange, sponsored by College Promo! Grab a new shirt or exchange shirts from your campus rec events and programs between noon–12:45pm at the end of Row 100.

Cozy up with exhibitors in the final hour of the Expo. At 1:30pm, we’re serving up a delightfully Oregon goody: A gourmet hot chocolate bar! Enjoy rich hot chocolate with toppings like fresh whipped cream, cookie crumbles, crushed peppermint, a variety of drizzling sauces, and more. Grab your hot drink and visit with vendors one last time before the expo closes at 2:30pm. Cheers!
