The 2022 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo will have ample opportunities for attendees to learn, network, and be inspired—and a preconference workshop or activity offers individuals an opportunity to take a deep dive with colleagues who share similar interests into topics or experiences that is sure to create lasting memories.
Tuesday, March 29 offers up more than half a dozen learning opportunities and networking experiences for individuals to choose from, ahead of the Annual Conference’s Opening General Session.
Preconference activities
Looking for inspiration for your upcoming facility construction or renovation project? Check out one of the two facility tours, exploring top-notch facilities in Portland and Eugene. Or maybe you want to complement your conference experience by exploring some of the natural wonders of the Pacific Northwest. If so, we’ve got you covered with a planned Multnomah Falls Day Hike—register to join your colleagues in exploring Oregon’s most recognizable waterfall and the most visited natural recreation site in the Pacific Northwest. Preconference trips and tours routinely fill up quickly, so early registration is encouraged.
Preconference workshops
In-depth learning opportunities are also on the docket. Want to discover what it takes to successfully integrate health and wellbeing initiatives on campus? Register for the “Secret Sauce” workshop. Are you a woman who is looking to propel your career in campus recreation and wellbeing? Don’t miss the “Women Leading Women” workshop. Hoping to discover ways to improve your campus’ approach to developing its student staff? The four-hour preconference workshop on the topic has got you covered. And senior leaders in campus recreation and wellbeing can register for an in-depth workshop with fellow directors and departmental administrators. Spaces in preconference workshops are limited, so register early to secure your spot.
