We don’t know about you, but we’re very excited for the upcoming 2020 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo taking place April 18–21 in Phoenix, Arizona! NIRSA is pleased to let you know that VisitPhoenix is offering discounts to local restaurants, tours, and other downtown experiences!

If you’re anything like me, food takes center stage when exploring a new city. We all know that budgets are tight so let’s stretch that per diem even further! Several local restaurants are offering free desserts, drinks, and more with your meal. Some eateries are even offering up to 20% off your entire order!

Looking to experience the arts? The Arizona Theatre Company, Herberger Theater Center, Phoenix Center for the Arts, and the Valley Youth Theatre are offering discounted tickets to shows and classes!

If you’re looking to get away from the bustle of downtown, Across Arizona Tours is offering $20 off a tour! Or, you can buy discounted tickets for a hot air balloon ride with Rainbow Ryders Hot Air Balloon Co.

For discounted downtown experiences, it’ll be hard to beat trying your hand at ax throwing with Urban Axes Phoenix! Fans of the Amazing Race—or scavenger hunts in general—should check out Urban Adventure Quest which guides you and your team, via your cell phone, to well-known sites of the city. Solve clues and complete challenges while simultaneously learning local history.

So how you can access these discounts? First, visit the downtown deals page, locate the “Sign-Up & Save” button on the right-hand side, and click it. Second, fill out the form and click “Sign-Up & Save.” The Downtown Deals Pass will be delivered to your phone via text and/or email and is ready to use without having to download an app. You can save the pass to your phone for easy, one-tap access. When visiting a participating business, simply present your phone to redeem your discounts and special offers.

That’s it! Take a look at the participating businesses under the “Included Venues” section of the Downtown Deals page to start planning your visit.

We can’t wait to see you in Phoenix!
