NIRSA’s professional members and the Student Leadership Team will have the opportunity to vote on proposed changes to the NIRSA Bylaws during the 2019 NIRSA Elections taking place January 17–29. The 2018–2019 NIRSA Bylaws Committee has worked closely with the team at NIRSA Headquarters and with NIRSA’s legal counsel to prepare proposed amendments to the Bylaws for the NIRSA Board of Directors’ review and approval.
On December 4, 2018, the full NIRSA Board approved the proposed amendments to NIRSA’s Bylaws. The proposed amendments are now submitted to NIRSA’s membership for consideration and adoption. You can read the rationale, red-lined, and clean versions of the proposed amendments on the NIRSA elections page.
Proposed amendments to the bylaws go to a member vote and must pass by a 2/3 majority of the ballots cast.
