If you manage or build recreation facilities, you will not want to miss this year’s NIRSA Recreation Facilities Institute presented by Mondo! This professional development opportunity is taking place October 19–21 in Tempe, Arizona, and registration is now open!

The Facilities Institute offers in-depth information on planning, construction, renovation, and operating rec facilities. In addition to the educational sessions and roundtables, attendees will have the opportunity to tour eight facilities, attend a welcome social, and network with colleagues and vendors at the Networking Luncheon & Expo.

This year’s theme, “Building Sustainable Communities,” is meant to highlight environmental and economic sustainability values constructed throughout our facilities. The theme will be reflected throughout the institute in a multitude of ways, including a preconference tour at the University of Arizona’s LEED Platinum facility followed by a sustainability session onsite at the university.

The window to submit presentation proposals for this event is still open; the deadline to submit is Wednesday, June 15! In addition to the four main topic areas the facilities committee has also identified several specific session topics that they would like to see included in this year’s program—check out the institute webpage for more information!

As one of NIRSA’s premier events, you don’t want to miss this year’s Facilities Institute—register today!
