The NIRSA Foundation will be hosting the Hoop Shoot Contest at the 2015 NIRSA Annual Conference and Recreational Sports Expo in Grapevine, Texas from March 30–April 2.

The contest will take place in the Expo Hall, which will be open on Tuesday, March 31 from 6:00pm-9:00pm and on Wednesday, April 1 from 9:00am-3:00pm.

So, whether you are a financially-strapped graduate student or a longtime director at a big school, this is your opportunity to support the NIRSA Foundation. For $1, participants will be given 45 seconds to make as many free throws as possible.

The NIRSA Foundation is committed to supporting future leaders in collegiate recreation.

The hoop shoot will have a number of different divisions to make it fun for everyone. Or you can always challenge your friends, challenge another school, or challenge your boss. Let your playin’ do the talkin’, earn bragging rights, and help raise funds for the NIRSA Foundation!

Prizes will be awarded to winners from each division, and one overall champion will be crowned. Will it be you?  Stop by the Expo Hall to test your touch from the charity stripe or swing to watch the fun!

All proceeds go directly to the NIRSA Foundation and will fund NIRSA research as well as provide future professional development opportunities to student and professional members.

The Hoop Shoot Contest is made possible thanks to the support of BSN Sports and Ecore Athletic. The NIRSA Foundation is also looking for additional monetary or in kind, donations to support this event. Any associate members looking to connect their brand with this exciting new NIRSA Foundation event, or any of the traditional NIRSA Foundation fundraising events, are encouraged to check out the recently updated NIRSA Sponsorships menu.
