2014-2015 NIRSA Board Annual Director

Dr. Stenta joined NIRSA in 2011, soon after his appointment as the Director of Recreational Sports at The Ohio State University. Don quickly immersed himself into NIRSA by presenting at the 2012 and 2013 NIRSA Annual Conferences, serving on the Centennial Celebration of Collegiate Recreation Work Team, and serving on the International Experiential Learning Institute Steering Committee. Don was also appointed in 2012 to serve as co-chair of NIRSA’s Leadership Commission.

Don’s experience at The Ohio State University, over the past 20+ years, has included positions within Residence Life, Student Activities, the Ohio Union, and multiple roles (Visiting Assistant Professor, Lecturer, Associate Director) within the John Glenn School of Public Affairs. Don is also a long time member of ACPA. The combination of Don’s broad experience in student affairs and his fluency over issues and opportunities that are important to higher education students and professionals ensures that his perspective will bring invaluable insight to the efforts of the 2014-2015 NIRSA Board.

The Association also recently concluded the 2014 NIRSA Elections. To learn more about these recent NIRSA volunteer leadership changes, check out the elections announcement news article.
