The NIRSA Foundation is sincerely grateful for the generous support of its contributors.

The Honor Roll comprises a list of everyone who has made monetary contributions of at least $25. Giving Levels reflect cumulative donations. Thanks to these supporters, campus recreation has a bright future!

75th Leadership Giving

Honor the Past. Engage the Moment. Lead to the Future.

In 1950, Dr. William Wasson and colleagues founded the National Intramural Association at Dillard University, which later became NIRSA, to advance campus recreation. To honor NIRSA’s 75th Anniversary and its impact on students, the NIRSA Foundation invites members, partners, and friends to support the 75th Anniversary Fundraising Campaign. This campaign will fund essential initiatives in NIRSA’s strategic priorities, securing the future of campus recreation.

Priority #1: Health & Wellbeing
Fund initiatives to support mental health on campus through recreation and partnerships with mental health services.

Priority #2: Advocacy through Research
Fund updated research to highlight campus recreation’s impact on student success, especially for smaller schools and HBCUs.

Priority #3: Professional Pipeline/Workforce Development
Support career growth through financial aid, resources, and targeted education for diverse talent in campus recreation.

Join your colleagues in expanding the opportunities for the leaders of tomorrow—contribute to the NIRSA Foundation today! Your support strengthens our profession, our community, and campus populations across North America. With a donation of $25 or more, you will be listed on the NIRSA Foundation Honor Roll and recognized at the NIRSA Annual Conference. Opportunity exists to move up in giving category as your total contributions to the NIRSA Foundation increase.

Whether you give $25 or $2,500, the consistent contributions of NIRSA members allow opportunities for emerging leaders in collegiate recreation to not simply be sustained, but to flourish. Together, NIRSA members can take collegiate recreation to the next level, again and again.

Collegiate recreation is a vocation for many. From young graduate assistants to retired directors, those who have found their calling in collegiate recreation choose to give back to their community year after year. Therefore, we celebrate cumulative giving, honoring those who have consistently contributed over the span of their lifetime. So go ahead: give back for each year that you receive support, resources, and fulfillment within the collegiate recreation profession.
