The committee is responsible for ensuring a fair, transparent and equitable process for the recruitment, selection, and appreciation of award recipients. The specific awards the committee oversees includes:
- Annual Service Award
- Campus Rec Programming Award
- Creative Excellence Award
- Horace Moody Award
- Outstanding Facilities Award
- William Wasson Student Leadership & Academic Award
Requirements
Current individual NIRSA membership is required for the duration of the committee appointment.
Time Commitment
Committee meetings for one hour each month with some asynchronous/small group work, a few hours per month. The majority of the work takes place during the awards review process, which happens between November and January.
Term Length
Committee terms are one year and run from May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027; the Chair track is a two-year commitment.
