The NIRSA Research & Assessment Committee is pleased to announce the release of a new resource to assist professionals in articulating the value that campus recreation provides to students and the campus community. The resource, collectively titled the Value of Campus Recreation, is a curated collection of key findings from literature and research that has been distilled and formatted into digestible snapshots for web, social media, and other platforms. The purpose of the Value of Campus Recreation resource is to provide recreation professionals with the tools (i.e., evidence and cited literature) to articulate the impact campus recreation has on student success and creating a vibrant campus community. NIRSA members and all recreation professionals are encouraged to use this resource to supplement or enhance your department’s visibility and highlight the value your department brings to the campus community. The committee will continue to curate this collection and we invite anyone in the profession to submit literature for consideration for inclusion in this new resource.
