About the NIRSA Facilities Institute
For 35 years, NIRSA’s Facilities Institute has been providing in-depth information on planning, constructing, renovating, and operating recreation sports facilities.
Building, renovating, and managing rec facilities on campus presents unique challenges and opportunities. Discover trends and pitfalls to avoid while meeting peers and connecting with vendors.
Presentation Proposals
We’re looking for engaging presenters and facilitators who can share practical solutions, emerging trends, and actionable takeaways that help facilities professionals solve real challenges.
Sessions will be 60 minutes. Presenters will receive a complimentary conference registration and hotel nights on presentation days.
The deadline to apply has been extended through Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Speakers will be notified of their selection status in mid-May.

Scholarships
The NIRSA Foundation is offering one professional scholarship to cover registration for the 2026 NIRSA Facilities Institute. NIRSA membership is required to be eligible for a scholarship.
Scholarship applications closed on on Monday, March 30, 2026. Applicants will be notified of their status by early May.
