NIRSA’s Student Leadership Team is a group of dedicated student members committed to collaboration, student advocacy, and leadership in the field of recreational sports.
Driven by The Four Pillars, the Student Leadership Team’s core mission is to create strong student leaders and connect student members to the resources they need to succeed.
You are encouraged to directly contact your Regional Student Leaders with your questions, suggestions, and ideas.
Student Driven Issues
- Encourage members to use NIRSA Communities to network, ask questions, start discussions, voice opinions, etc.
- Provide educational opportunities to help students balance the demands of work, school, and personal life
- Encourage members to use NIRSA Communities to network, ask questions, start discussions, voice opinions, etc.
Student Member Recruitment & Retention
- Share opportunities for students to get involved
- Educate members and non-members about the mission and vision of NIRSA
Advocate for Students
- Provide open communication channels for members to voice opinions
- Encourage students to represent student ideas at the Assembly, a future-focused think tank committed to the future of collegiate recreation
Student Development
- Assist students in finding State/Provincial Student Leader positions
- Encourage students to attend and present at NIRSA conferences
- Encourage students to get involved in their communities
- Connect students with advisors through the Mentor Program
