We’re gearing up for the NIRSA 2014 Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders Conference, which will be held February 20-22, 2014 in Orlando, Florida.
With educational programming and opportunities for mentorship and career networking, this conference strives to provide the skills and knowledge needed for young people to gain meaningful careers in the field of collegiate recreation.
Now is your chance to help shape this renowned NIRSA event; submit a presentation proposal by October 31!
The goal of the Emerging Leaders Conference is to provide students interested in careers in collegiate recreation with the tools and connections they need to succeed in the dynamic field they have chosen to pursue. The NIRSA 2014 Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders Conference Program Committee is dedicated to providing these individuals with a wide range of educational sessions and information sharing.

Appy by October 31 for your chance to present at the 2014 Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders Conference.
The conference hopes to encourage diversity in our association in order to best reflect the populations and demographics that NIRSA members serve. In addition, presentation proposals for the 2014 Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders Conference should align with NIRSA’s eight core competencies. By presenting at the 2014 conference, you will also contribute to your own professional development: session presenters qualify for Professional Involvement Credits (PICs), which can be applied to renewal application to the Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals. We hope you have an opportunity to join us and share your experiences and gain from the interaction with other colleagues.
Presenter Membership and Registration Requirements
All presenters must hold current professional, life professional, emeritus, student, or associate NIRSA Member status at the time of presentation proposal submission through the time of the conference. If you are not already a NIRSA member, you can register now. All confirmed lead presenters and co-presenters must register for the event prior to the start of the event.
Don’t miss out on this great professional development opportunity! We look forward to seeing you in Orlando!
