NIRSA Unified Sports
NIRSA Unified Sports brings together college students and Special Olympics athletes to train, play, and compete side by side in inclusive intramural leagues. In partnership with the Special Olympics, this program promotes social inclusion through shared sports experiences, building friendships, fostering understanding, and creating meaningful competition.
Unified Sports teams are made up of individuals with and without intellectual disabilities, competing together in sports like basketball, soccer, flag football, and more. Whether you’re a student or a community athlete, there’s a place for you here.
Explore how you can get involved, join a team, or compete in Unified events at the campus, regional, and national levels. Let’s play together—and grow together.
