We have overcome. We, the humans of NIRSA, have caught each other when the world turned upside down.
Closing time
The Championship Series has influenced roughly half of my life. It has developed my professional and personal skills, and allowed me to meet some of the most fantastic and dedicated people NIRSA has to offer.
What is the action that we can take that will make positive change?
Over the past several days, outrage and anger and sadness poured out into the streets across the U.S. NIRSA will continue to champion equity, diversity, and inclusion as crucial to healthy people and healthy communities.
Looking back and forward
It has felt like ages since the last blog post. Believe it or not, it has been a scant six weeks since the last time we communicated regarding the Championship Series.
Pivot with purpose
Serving as a leader for NIRSA means expanding your view past the here and now to continue the long-term viability and legacy of our profession’s association.
The biggest picture
Make no mistake, this is not the end of the Championship Series—not by a long shot. What we have now is an opportunity to improve and strategize.
Up at the half
We’re just a little over halfway through the NIRSA Championship Series season, and a lot has happened since we last talked.
You are loved
This time of year, I’m reminded of someone who’s a leader within the Championship Series as well as an excellent mentor and even better friend. Her name is Sarah Fain, and she is loved.
My heart is full this fall
NIRSA President Leah Hall Dorothy reminds us to "take time this autumn to reflect on what you are thankful for and consider ways that you can share your time, talent, treasure, and thanks heading into 2020."
Give teams a chance
What can we do to further our participants’ experiences? What opportunities can we introduce and give to our students to bring a unique spotlight to our programming? What else can we give?
