The Association is also thrilled to welcome our incoming professional and student leaders to positions on the 2017-2018 NIRSA Board of Directors and Member Network beginning on May 1.
NIRSA's 2017 elections successfully came to a close on January 30. Proposed amendments to NIRSA’s Bylaws passed overwhelmingly by member vote.

NIRSA membership votes annually to fill positions on the NIRSA Board of Directors and the Member Network as well as on any proposed amendments to NIRSA’s Bylaws. The 2017 Elections will launch on January 18.
NIRSA’s professional members and the Student Leadership Team will have the opportunity to vote on proposed changes to the NIRSA Bylaws during the 2017 NIRSA Elections taking place January 18–30.
On January 18, all current professional and student members will be sent a personalized email inviting them to vote in the 2017 NIRSA Elections.
The NIRSA Board recently approved a Regional Composition Policy, outlining the process for states, provinces, or countries to request changes to their regional alignment and outlining a process for forming a distinct, new NIRSA region. The policy requires changes to NIRSA Bylaws to take effect.
NIRSA will hold elections this winter for President Elect and At-Large Director on the Board of Directors, as well as for NIRSA Student Leader, Regional Student Leaders in all Regions, and Regional Representatives for Regions I, III, and V.
