The Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals is the most meaningful distinction for professionals who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in the field of collegiate recreational sports through active learning and continuing professional development.
Becoming a Registered Collegiate Recreational Sports Professional demonstrates that you have successfully reached the criteria set forth by the Registry Commission and that you are dedicated to continuous learning for your own growth and to the benefit the entire profession of collegiate recreation.
Application Preparation
Before beginning the application process, be sure to read the RCRSP Handbook and compile the following:
- A resume or similar document that lists your past job titles and responsibilities, as well as years of employment
- A list of CEUs you have earned in the past three years from NIRSA and other events
- Please refer to the RCRSP Handbook for CEU information
Application Process
In the application process you will be asked to:
- List your degrees and professional experience
- Attach a list of qualifying education activities you have participated in to earn CEUs
- Agree to the Standards of Conduct Attestation
- Pay the application fee
Application Processing Timeline
Applications can be submitted at any time. Submitted applications are reviewed by NIRSA Headquarters. Renewing RCRSP professionals will be mailed their new certificates in the final week of each month. Letters notifying the supervisors of renewing RCRSP professionals will be sent upon request.
