Background:
With only 48 spots available, the NIRSA School Faculty is one of the most sought-after registrations. Its curricular offerings and schedule are designed to offer an intensive program, structured to provide participants with professionally challenging sessions to further develop their competencies. The interrelationship between course offerings is designed to provide a well-rounded approach to handling challenges in today’s collegiate recreation environment. Participants must attend all sessions to receive a certificate of completion.
Event Committee Structure:
Experienced recreational sports faculty members provide a broad range of material designed to enhance a professional’s management and
problem-solving skills. The School is typically offered in June and is on a three year rotation to offer Level 1 in successive years and Level 2 in the third year. There are typically two positions available and the term of service is three years.
Charges:
Faculty members work collaboratively to develop the course curriculum, design the program schedule, and lead sessions that provide participants with opportunities to practice, discuss, and refine the professional skills necessary for success.
