For the first time ever, the NIRSA Championship Series will be hosting an Esports Championship featuring Rocket League! This new and exciting tournament will run from Thursday, April 8 through Saturday, April 10.

Given the growth of esports nationally, the NIRSA Championship Series is excited to offer a tournament for recreational and competitive gamers. Participants can compete individually in the 1v1 tournament or as a team in the 3v3 tournament. Competitive and recreational divisions will be available for both formats. Additionally, a Unified division will be available for 3v3. Ranking for the tournament will be based on each individual’s Rocket League ranking, and eligible participants will be able to compete in one team per league.

If you’re running an esports tournament on your campus, think about sending your winners to this national event. Don’t have enough Rocket League participants on your campus to put together a 3v3 team? No problem! 3v3 teams can be compiled of individuals from different institutions.

Registration for the tournament is officially open! Make sure to sign your team(s) up by Sunday, April 4 before registration closes. Also, the tournament is looking for volunteer Shoutcasters to commentate on the event. Shoutcasters should apply online no later than March 19.

Visit the NIRSA esports website for a full list of details! Participants are also encouraged to join the NIRSA Discord server.
