The NIRSA Annual Conference program showcases the best practices and innovative ideas in the field of collegiate recreation, backed by theory, research, and practice: Don’t miss your chance to join the 2021 conference program and show your colleagues what your recreation department is doing to power student success on your campus!

Presentation proposals will be accepted through August 10 for many formats, including:

  • 60-minute general educational sessions
  • 90-minute general educational sessions
  • Career-building sessions at the Career Services Center
  • Fitness Forum workouts
  • Panel discussions
  • Poster presentations
  • Roundtable conversations
  • Showcase sessions
  • Workshops

Proposals will be reviewed starting in mid-August and presenters can expect to be notified if their proposals have been accepted/declined in late October.

Whether you choose to submit a proposal for a general education session, a panel discussion, poster presentation, in-depth workshop, or one of the many other options, the variety of formats offered by NIRSA program developers give attendees more control over setting professional development priorities and choosing the right content, materials, and methods that match their learning styles and objectives.

The 2021 NIRSA Conference Program Committee encourages all members to consider submitting a proposal! Your ideas, insights, and experiences will deepen the collective knowledge of the profession and help campus recreation to continue making a positive impact on building healthy people and healthy communities.
