The 2020 NIRSA Club Basketball Conference season has come and gone, and boy was it an exciting one! We had a total of nine women’s teams and 23 men’s teams spread across seven divisions. The NIRSA Championship Series is always trying to provide a premier championship experience and I think our participants can agree that we achieved that this year.

Congratulations to our 2020 division champions!

The NIRSA Club Basketball Conference is unique in its structure compared to other opportunities out there. The conference offers two weekends of round robin divisional play and each team is given the option to attend a NIRSA regional tournament of their choice. Through these experiences, a champion from each division is crowned, earning them an opportunity to play for a national championship title!

As we look back on a great 2020 NIRSA Club Basketball Conference season, we say congratulations again to our seven division champions! Thank you for making the 2020 season a great one. To anyone looking forward to the 2021 season, we have good news! Registration for the 2021 season is open and will remain open until October. We’re excited to promote the NIRSA Club Basketball Conference and look forward to welcoming new teams and offering new divisions for the next season! But don’t just take our word for it, read what participants have to say:

“NIRSA club basketball is the best bang for your buck. I love that the officials and registration for a regional tournament are all covered. The regional registration is great because we get to continue to compete against other schools from our region.” -Miguel Salas, Cal Poly Pomona

“NIRSA club basketball is definitely worth the small fees for a fantastic experience. It’s great to still be able to play basketball and meet other teams to play. Recommended for any club teams.” -Roxroy Davis Jr., UCLA

“All the games are within driving distance and all the teams are already there. Communication is great! Money aside, it’s better basketball.” -Doug White, California Polytechnic State University.
