With a new year, NIRSA members, comes new #RecChat topics and opportunities for engagement. On Wednesday, January 22 at 3:00pm EST #RecChat will be joined by Al Diaz, Assistant Director of Operations at the University of Oregon, and Luke Verdi, Student Personnel Coordinator at the University of Maryland-College Park, as we talk about strategies for hiring the right staff.
When working with students, we often find ourselves dealing with turnover from semester to semester. By taking the time to ensure we’re putting the right students in positions on our team, we’re more likely to maximize their potential and minimize turnover. During this January #RecChat, Al and Luke will talk with us about strategies, processes, and successes they have had when hiring student staff. From when to hire, how to hire, and who to hire, we’ll cover it all.
