Volunteering at the NIRSA Annual Conference is a great way to get involved as an attendee. NIRSA formally invites you to be a session host at the upcoming 2019 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo. The 2019 Annual Conference will take place from February 16–19 in Boston, MA.

Serving as a session host allows volunteers to take an active role with the educational sessions. Session hosts welcome attendees into the room, introduce the presenter(s), instruct attendees to complete evaluations, and ensure the presenter(s)’ presentation is saved on the provided USB drive. Session hosts play a critical role in transitioning sessions and ensuring a smoothly-run conference.

If interested in serving as a session host, you may sign up online today! Interested volunteers can sign up for a session based off their preference and availability. Once you’ve completed a sign-up, the Program Committee will confirm it and send a calendar invite as a reminder. Once signed up, the interested volunteer will check-in the day of at the Education Table. The volunteer will then arrive 15 minutes before the session start time to ensure the presenter is present and to greet attendees. All supplies needed will be in the room and stay in the room following the presentation.

Conference volunteers will receive a volunteer ribbon to wear proudly with their NIRSA name badge. Please monitor the NIRSA 2019 volunteer information page for the latest updates. Thank you for your interest in volunteering and making a positive impact on our Association and on the 2019 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo!
