NIRSA will hold elections this winter for President Elect and At-Large Director on the Board of Directors as well as for the following Member Network positions: NIRSA Student Leader, regional student leaders in all regions, and regional representatives for Regions I, III, V, and Canada.

“Serving in the various leadership experiences of NIRSA was both challenging and rewarding,” says Stan Shingles, Assistant Vice President at Central Michigan University and NIRSA Past President. “We serve in these roles to improve and enhance our profession, build authentic and meaningful relationships and partnerships, and to lead the Association in its future direction.”

Jessica Adkisson, Assistant Director of Facilities at the University of Illinois at Chicago, adds, “My experience serving on the Member Network as a regional student leader is difficult to express into just a couple of sentences. The opportunity to meet students through attending several state workshops and conferences to bring back feedback on how to engage them more with the Association was so rewarding. The lasting relationships you build with all types, students through retiree members, is irreplaceable time to learn and grow personally and professionally. It allowed me to serve an association that transformed me into a confident young professional similar to so many of the success stories we all know and love.”
