NIRSA’s Research & Assessment Award is given annually to a professional or graduate student member whose research project(s) or assessment activities have contributed to the advancement of the collegiate recreation profession. It’s one of several awards conferred by the Association in celebration of those members who elevate the standard of excellence in the field of collegiate recreation.

The NIRSA Research & Assessment Committee invites you to recognize your deserving colleagues by nominating them for this award. Eligible nominees must be NIRSA members in good standing for at least two years and must be nominated by a current NIRSA member. Nominees must also demonstrate a commitment to the advancement of the collegiate recreation profession.

Nominations are due by November 15, and the selected recipient or recipients will be recognized at the 2018 NIRSA Annual Conference & Campus Rec and Wellness Expo in Denver, CO.

Last year’s recipient was Dr. Anne Wilkinson, CRSS, of Temple University. Dr. Wilkinson was nominated for developing assessment plans that were instrumental in departmental strategic planning, staff training, and in the planning for three new facilities including Temple University’s Pearson and McGonigle Halls which received the 2014 NIRSA Outstanding Facility Award.
