From February 25–27, collegiate recreation students and professionals will descend on the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg for the 2016 Emerging Recreational Sports Leaders Conference. The ERSLC continues to provide countless opportunities for students who are wishing to enter the field upon graduation. Whether you’re presenting or volunteering, find a way to get yourself engaged in what is sure to be an exciting time for everyone.

The 2016 conference will feature preconference activities, educational sessions, mock interviews, a resume critique, and countless networking opportunities. The program and host committees have been working extremely hard to put together a powerful and impactful program. Check out the ERSLC webpage to get a program outline.

If you’re interesting in presenting at the conference, there’s still time! The deadline to submit your presentation proposal has been extended to Friday, December 4 at midnight. If you’re looking for ideas on what to present on, topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Outdoor Adventure
  • Inclusive Recreation
  • Intramural Sports
  • Club Sports
  • Risk Management
