In response to the recent news about vulnerabilities to account information and cyber-attacks, NIRSA has received a handful of inquiries about the security of its membership database as it relates to the much publicized Heartbleed bug.

Changing your password is easy—just click on the edit my profile link at nirsa.me.

NIRSA and the NIRSA Foundation want to let all NIRSA members, volunteers, and donors know that our site was not affected by the bug. The Association has taken the appropriate precautions to ensure that our site continues to operate securely.

However, it’s important to remember that to retain their ongoing effectiveness, passwords should be changed on a regular basis. You can easily change your password at any time through the edit my profile portal on your personal NIRSA profile page.
