The Association is pleased to welcome our incoming professional and student leaders to positions on the 2022–2023 NIRSA Board of Directors and Member Network beginning on May 1. Full election results are now available.
Applications are now open for the 2022–2023 NIRSA Assembly. Each year, around 25 NIRSA volunteer leaders—including professionals, students, and associate members—serve to advance the profession.
NIRSA membership votes annually, via electronic elections, to fill positions on the NIRSA Board of Directors and the Member Network; meet the candidates standing for 2022 elections.
The NIRSA Board of Directors has approved in concept proposed amendments to NIRSA’s bylaws for the upcoming election cycle, which will take place in January 2022.
Andy Milton, who served as CAS Director since 2018 stepped down earlier this year from the role. Jake Eubank of Lehman College, CUNY and Jason Vlastaras of Iowa State University take up volunteer roles.
NIRSA would like to thank Bryce Muller for his service on the Member Network; Bryce will be succeeded by Morgyn Felty, Graduate Assistant at South Dakota State University as the new Region V Student Leader.
The Association owes a huge debt of gratitude to the eleven members who served these past two-and-a-half years on the NIRSA Health and Wellbeing Task Force.
This past year, an Assembly sub-work team was tasked with examining how collegiate recreation departments navigated and responded to disruptors. This was obviously an extremely timely topic given the COVID-19 pandemic.
A NIRSA Assembly work team focused on getting more information around professional development opportunities and the impact of partnerships in higher education through a survey administered in April 2021. Survey results led to many insights.
