I thought it would be fitting in my final post as your NIRSA Student Leader to detail the way that the phrase “Peace, Love, and NIRSA” came to fruition for myself and for our Association.

ERSLC2017 and the Region III Student Lead On fell within a week of each other, and I was grateful to be able to attend both.
I hope this article finds you in a timely manner as new year’s resolutions may be fading out and old habits beginning to fade back in. I’d like to share with you what I think will be the winning formula for 2017 along with some inspirational material to back it up.

Allow me to introduce you to two NIRSA members who are exemplary products of the NIRSA Championship Series’ opportunities for growth: Scott Flickinger and Kelsey Jones.

I am so excited to introduce you to three NIRSA student members whose futures are so bright I’m wearing sunglasses while writing this article.
Think back to the events in your life that have led you to pursue a career in collegiate recreation. I’m not a betting man, but I’d put money on the notion that most of us found our way thanks to mentoring from a professional in the field.
The week was comprised of informational brainstorming sessions with various groups of leadership as well as some nitty gritty internal planning for initiatives taking place during the coming year.
