Did you miss yesterday’s Instagram Live call between NIRSA Executive Director Pam Watts, CAE and Seneca Wilson, Associate Director of Facilities and Guest Services at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Pam and Seneca connected to discuss how Black men in NIRSA are fostering community through opportunities like the 100 Black Men of Collegiate Recreation Facebook Group. This cohort of leaders are mentoring, sponsoring, and supporting each other for personal and professional development through regular virtual meetings. As they advance their own careers, they continue to move the profession forward.
They also discuss how volunteer service has shaped Seneca’s career in campus recreation. Take a few minutes to sit-in with Pam and Seneca as they talk about some of the ways NIRSA members are sharing fellowship, mentorship, and community.
