It’s not too late to submit your application to serve on the NIRSA Assembly. The Assembly is the leadership body of the Association focused on the dynamic and long-term needs of the collegiate recreation profession. Stephanie Musser, Assistant Director Fitness Services at The Ohio State University, says that the Assembly focuses on “the potential issues surrounding our profession” and its members spend a lot of time “thinking, brainstorming, and conversing.”
She explains that serving on the Assembly is different than serving “on a NIRSA committee or work team” where “you often times are focusing on a more specific area within the realm of collegiate recreation such as aquatics, facilities, sustainability, etc.” The Assembly is currently seeking energetic members who are committed to advancing the profession and have a capacity to contribute innovative ideas. You could help shape the future of the collegiate recreation profession!
If you want to be a catalyst for action, generate results, and vet ideas in a highly-participatory think tank, consider applying to serve on the NIRSA Assembly. The application deadline is April 20.
