Mental health and professional development are important issues for professionals on every college campus—but how do you merge the two? NIRSA is excited to partner with the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I) to explore just this question.
“The Power of Positive Work Environments: Using CliftonStrengths to build dynamic teams and a thriving campus community” is scheduled for Thursday, November 7 from 3:00pm–4:00pm ET. Registration is free, but attendees do need to be registered before the webinar begins. Mark your calendars and sign up today!
During this webinar, NIRSA and ACUHO-I members will hear how Georgia Tech’s Campus Recreation and Housing & Residence Life are teaming up to help their campus thrive. Join NIRSA member Caroline Dotts, Associate Director, Healthy Lifestyle Programs, and her ResLife colleagues Kaleitha Johnson, Coordinator for Staff and Community Development, and Sheree Gibson, Interim Assistant Director of Housing for Staff and Community Development, as they share their work in focusing on the positive psychology tenets of Gallup’s CliftonStrengths.
They have found that using the assessment to understand “what is right with us (and the teams we work on)” has begun to nudge the culture at Tech towards a positive place that benefits students, staff, and faculty. The webinar will explain the power of using the strengths-based language and provide attendees several takeaways they can implement on their own campuses.
