The 2017 NIRSA Triventure is fast approaching! Don’t miss the chance to secure a spot for one of the in-depth preconference offerings.
Want to see a selection of world-class facilities? Sign up for the preconference facility tour today! The tour will visit the recreation centers at the University of West Georgia, Auburn University, and Columbus State University. Lunch and dinner is included for attendees.
For the fitness-minded attendee, the NIRSA Fitness and Wellness Institute Committee is offering a great preconference workshop focused on TriggerPoint Foam Rolling Level 1. This workshop covers the fundamentals of myofascial, reviews the latest self-myofascial release (SMR) research, and dives into the TriggerPoint SMR movement philosophy using the GRID foam roller.
Aquatics professionals have the choice between two two-day preconference opportunities. The first opportunity is the Lifeguard Instructor/Trainer Review Course with Optional Basic Lifeguard Training Re-Certification. This course includes classroom and in-water skills practice, skill drills, and a skills polish session. The course will also offer an optional chance for participants to renew their Basic Lifeguard Training Certification as part of the opportunity.
The second aquatic-focused preconference opportunity is the Aquatic Facility Operators (AFO) Course. The AFO certification program is an advanced educational training course that trains and certifies participants in all aspects of facility operation including facility management, water testing and treatment, disinfection, design considerations, facility troubleshooting, hot tub and spa operation, and more.
These preconference opportunities are a great way to enhance the Triventure experience. We have lined up a great slate of keynote and invited speakers, and attendees can earn up to 1.2 CEUs which can be used to fulfill application or renewal requirements for membership in the Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals (RCRSP). Attendees may earn more by attending certain preconference workshops.
Registration is limited for these opportunities so don’t delay and register today!
