At NIRSA, we love celebrating our members’ achievements, which help to raise the standard for excellence across the collegiate recreation profession—but we need your help! November 1 marks the application deadline for both the Creative Excellence Awards and the Outstanding Sports Facilities Awards from NIRSA. Submit your team’s efforts and accomplishments to be considered for an award—and you could be recognized at the 2014 NIRSA Annual Conference & Recreational Sports Expo in Nashville, Tennessee, April 23-26, 2014!

Creative Excellence Awards


1st place Programming Publication entry: Billionaire Bingo by Cleveland State University.

The NIRSA Creative Excellence Awards recognize NIRSA members’ outstanding endeavors and accomplishments in marketing. Awards are conferred in nine categories: Comprehensive Brochure & Facility Publication, Integrated Marketing Campaign, Sustainable Marketing, Programming Publication, Large Scale Signage, Audiovisual Promotion, Website, Student Publication and Student Digital Presentation.

Outstanding Sports Facilities Awards

The NIRSA Outstanding Sports Facilities (OSF) Awards recognize the innovative designs of new, renovated, or expanded collegiate recreational facilities of NIRSA member institutions. These prestigious awards honor facilities that demonstrate excellence in a number of critical areas, including architectural design, functionality, and how well the facility meets its intended purpose.

Outstanding Sports Facilities Award recipients are regarded as examples to follow within the collegiate recreation profession and throughout the greater architectural and facilities construction communities. Celebrate your exceptional facility construction or renovation by submitting an application for the NIRSA Outstanding Sports Facilities Awards.
