NIRSA brings collegiate recreation learning opportunities closer to home
Regional Conferences
Collaboration and shared experience are the first steps in creating professional community.
NIRSA regional conferences, organized by members from each of NIRSA’s seven regions, are a great opportunity to get to know other collegiate recreation students, professionals, and vendors in your geographic area while simultaneously advancing your professional development.
Attending a regional conference is an excellent way to continue your learning and build on connections made during the NIRSA Annual Conference.
State & Provincial Workshops
Gain professional development training, make connections with professional and student colleagues, and find out how other schools in your area approach recreational sports and wellness at NIRSA’s state and provincial workshops.
NIRSA state & provincial workshops allow NIRSA members to come together at a more localized level to share experience, network, and learn from one another. Workshops provide a more in-depth forum for leaders in collegiate recreation to address issues that are specifically relevant to local issues. They also bring nationally and internationally trending issues and best practices to NIRSA members, with considerably less travel involved.
Student Lead Ons
NIRSA Student Lead Ons are conferences for students working toward careers in collegiate recreation. Lead ons give students the opportunity to network, grow and share their experiences and successes.
Typical topics presented at these conferences range from professional development (résumé workshops and interview skills) to program areas like aquatics, intramurals, fitness, facilities, sport clubs, and outdoor recreation.
Attending a Student Lead On is an excellent way to get involved with the association of leaders in collegiate recreation, or to continue your learning and build on connections made during the NIRSA Annual Conference.
